National Youth Justice Practice Guidance
The National Youth Justice Practice Guidance provides an introduction to youth justice in a Scottish context and has chapters dedicated to each of the themes of the government's Framework for Action. The guidance concludes with a series of practice standards that have been endorsed by NYJAG (formerly the youth justice coordinators group. The guidance is designed to comply with other Scottish guidance and policy initiatives such as GIRFEC and FRAME.
At our June conference this year, we were able to showcase an early draft of the documentation, accessible through a mock-up of our new website design. Positive feedback from this event allowed us to move forward with implementing the new design.
Over the course of the next few months, we'll be moving over to the new format where you will be able to browse an indexed version of the Guidance online, as well as accessing our other publications.
In the meantime, we are hosting Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files for each of the chapters that make up the complete guidance.
The National Youth Justice Development team consulted widely in preparing this document. It will be reviewed in January 2012 and the team would appreciate feedback in relation to the content and format. The team can be contacted at cjsw@ed.ac.uk
