Short-Term Orders

The Criminal Justice Social Work Development Centre Sex Offender Champions Group have drawn on knowledge and materials from existing sex offender programmes and have produced a format for working with sex offenders on short-term orders.  The main focus of the programme relates to relapse prevention and should be undertaken on a two to one basis.

The descriptors for how this work should be conducted and for whom it is suitable are outlined in the introduction to the programme, which can be found here.  The programe is not intended to replace existing accredited programmes or other forms of long term therapeutic intervention.

The programme materials will be made available to individuals who have responsibility for the delivery of sex offender services in their area, via a secure area on this website.  It would be helpful therefore if you could nominate the appropriate person to the Centre.
